Sheila Blimke
August 27, 1930 - January 3, 2017
Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce Sheila's passing on January 3 in Osoyoos BC at the age of 86 years. She has gone to be with her Savior peacefully after a prolonged illness.
Sheila was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Don, father and mother John and Delia Donnelly and brother Terry Donnelly.
Left to pray for her eternal rest and resurrection are her children Janet, Patrick, Allan, Lynn, Susan, John (Patti) and grandson Kevin Blimke.
After a successful and fulfilling career with the Edmonton Journal newspaper and Revenue Canada, she and her husband Don built their retirement home in Osoyoos BC. This home has been a destination for family and friends to gather for love and laughs since 1990.
Prayers and visitation will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Osoyoos at 7:00pm Thursday January 12th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSouza at 10:30am Friday January 13 at St. Anne's with interment and committal to follow at Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. Refreshments at the church after.
Donations may be made to ALS Society of BC.
