Tribute
Tom the Handyman is forever puttering in his workshop in the sky. If you saw the spectacular double rainbow the evening of July 7th, that was Tom waving good-bye in all his favourite colours. He fought a brave battle with colo-rectal cancer over the last two and a half years. Those of us who knew and loved Tom are relieved that he is not suffering.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jody Chadderton, his sister and brother-in-law, Sophie and Ed Buga of Edmonton, brother-in-law, Roger Kocheff, of Maple Ridge, sisters-in-law, Anne Hildebrand of Burnaby and Jill Fisher of Delta, several nieces and nephews and a loving circle of friends.
Our thanks to the doctors and care team at SOGH for keeping Tom comfortable in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Tom’s laughter and great sense of humour will be missed, along with his carpentry skills. I knew him through work he did at the Elks Golden Villa for many years. Am so sorry to hear of his loss, but at last he is at peace. My condolences to you, Jody, you have had a really rough time this past year. Keep strong with the good memories.

Thinking of you Jody with lots of love! I first met Tom when he came to our house to do a few odd jobs. He was a very good man with a heart of gold.
