Tribute

McCASKELL, Thomas A. (“Sir Thomas”)
(1955- 2010)

Of Osoyoos, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at South Okanagan General Hospital after a long illness, at the age of 55 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Annette, his mother Trudi (Dave) Schofield, his sister Maureen, his brother-in-law Wayne (Emily) Gryschuk, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Thomas was predeceased by his father Maurice McCaskell, his aunt Sharron McMullen, his cousin Shawn McCray, his father- and mother-in-law Len and Josie Gryschuk, and his Robinson and McCaskell grandparents.

During his employment, Thomas was an R.C.M.P officer. After his retirement from the R.C.M.P., Thomas was the owner/operator of Glitter and Gold, and the owner of the Lavilla Motel.

The Crowsnest Pass, where Thomas and Annette lived for a while, held a lot of good memories and good friends.

Thomas was active boating, fishing, and watercrafting, as well as camping, RVing, and NASCAR. He loved to travel, especially anywhere in North America such as Havasu, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. At home, he was a member of the Lions Club and a curler.

Donations would be gratefully appreciated for the SOGH Palliative Care Unit, 7139 362nd Ave. R.R. 3, Oliver, BC V0H 1T0.

Annette, our sincere condolences over the loss of Tom.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. He was an inspiration to many members, and I truly enjoyed my time working and recreationally with him. He will not be forgotten. He was one of the “trueblue” members of the Force. Until we meet again, Tom.
