Violet Dresser

Tribute
On Sunday May 29, 2016, Mrs. Violet (Vi) Cecilia Dresser of Osyoos passed away peacefully at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 82 years.
She was predeceased by her mother & father; step-father; first husband T.W. Sanderson; second husband Clarence Dresser as well as grandsons Nicholas and Nathan Hebig.
Vi will be fondly remembered by her loving family including daughters Sheryl (Charlie) Calvert, Jennifer Sanderson, Joanne (Howie) Hebig and Shawna Sanderson; grandchildren Billy Sanderson, Lynn Sanderson, Cody Sanderson, Shaquille Yussuf, Mlaika Beyen and Jacquie (Rob) Rintoul as well as great-grandchildren Evan McKinney and Kade Rintoul.
Vi was active in her community and volunteered her time with Royal Purple, the Osoyoos Flea Market and the Osoyoos Royal Canadian Legion. She also liked to travel and enjoyed trips through the United States and Mexico camping with Clarence.
A celebration of life for Vi will be held at 11:00 am Saturday July 30, 2016 at the Elks Golden Villa, 5 Jonagold Place, Osoyoos, BC.
Vi’s family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Denise & Larry, the caretakers at the Elks Golden Villa, Wendy Knight, Kristen Garner, the staff at Pharmasave and Buy Low Foods, the doctors and nurses at SOGH for their dedicated care and support and the bus drivers who lent their ears and helped mom out so many times.

Sheryl and family, it was such a pleasure to reconnect with your dear Mom in the autumn of 2014 when she sold her car to me.
As we chatted, Violet told me she was your Mom, Sheryl!
Reminiscing, I shared the fun memory of the beach birthday party she gave you when we were both so young, Sheryl!
It was good to share in conversations with your thoughtful Mom. Hoping to enjoy more visits with Violet, I was saddened to learn that she passed on.
Your Mom’s memory is a blessing and the Hyundai she sold to me is a constant reminder of Violet’s cheerful graciousness!
May you know God’s Peace, Grace and Comfort at this time of grievous loss,
