William Nelson

Tribute
William Nelson (Bill) passed away at the age of 90. Born in Arelee, Saskatchewan, Bill was the youngest of 10 children. He was a faithful member of the Osoyoos Seventh-Day Adventist Church. “Mr. Nelson” obtained
his master's degree in education and was a schoolteacher for 42 years, in the U.S. and Canada, 22 of them spent teaching English at S.O.S.S. in Oliver, B.C. He was a man loved by everyone and had a great sense of humor.
He was predeceased by all his siblings and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Aris, the love of his life. His legacy will live on through his much-loved children Wilf (Marlene), Frank (Janine), Colleen (Eduardo), and Kevin. Though Mimi and Eric are grandchildren, they were raised as his own from an early age. He was adored as grandpa by his eleven grandchildren (Mimi, Eric, Tanner, Michael, Tyler, Lindsay, Haley, Kenton, Andre, Julian, Lexi), and four great-grandchildren (Ryan, Tamara, Azlan, Azaria).
The family wishes to thank the staff of McKinney Place (SOGH) for their loving care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 19 at 2:30 p.m. at the Osoyoos Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 10109-62nd Ave., Osoyoos, B.C.
